Where we are

The Island of Elba is the largest island of the Tuscan archipelago and the third largest in Italy (223 km²).
Elba, together with the other islands of the archipelago (Pianosa, Capraia, Montecristo, Gorgona, Giglio and Giannutri) is part of the National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago.
The Island of Elba is divided into eight municipalities: the main one is Portoferraio, the others are: Campo nell'Elba, Capoliveri, Marciana, Marciana Marina, Porto Azzurro, Rio Marina and Rio nell'Elba, with a total population of about 32,000 inhabitants.

The Island of Elba is easily reached by air or by sea from the mainland which is only 10km away.

Once on the island, follow the directions for Marciana Marina and oncein this little town with its characteristic waterfront, follow the directions for the hotel.

From the North

Motorway A12 to Rosignano Solvay, SS1 Aurelia trunk road to Venturina, SS398 trunk road to Piombino port.
Car ferry for Portoferraio, Porto Azzuro, Rio Marina.

From the South:
motorway A12 to Civitavecchia, SS1 Aurelia trunk road to Venturina, SS398 trunk road to Piombino port. Car ferry for Portoferraio, Porto Azzuro, Rio Marina.

By Bus

Connections with Milan, Siena and the port of Piombino.

Direct connections between the port of Portoferraio and Marciana Marina (the bus stop is just a few metres from the hotel) by A.T.L bus (timetable information 0565.91.43.92)

By Ferry

The Island of Elba can be reached by ferry from Piombino Marittima, where two ferry companies (Toremar and Moby Lines) provide comfortable ferries which do the crossing several times a day.
It takes just one hour to make the 10 km crossing which separates the island from the mainland, arriving at the ports of Portoferraio (the main port), Porto Azzurro and Rio Marina.

Alternatively there is a fast hydrofoil connection, only for passengers, which reaches Portoferraio in just 35 minutes.

By Train

Direct connection between Florence and the port of Piombino.
From the Tirrenica line (Genoa, Pisa, Livorno, Grosseto Rome and other stations), change at the station of Campiglia Marittima. From here buses and trains leave for the port of Piombino.
